My writing computer is down, leaving me hopelessly stranded.
Here's what happened. Our electric bill has been unreasonably high. My wife's father just happens to be an expert with anything related to houses, so he came over and helped us figure out where all our electricity is being used. Before we started flipping breakers, I turned off each computer in the manufacturer recommended way, which is to wait several hours while the computers tell you that yes, Windows really is shutting down...no, wait for it...ok now...made you jump didn't I...ok really shutting down now...hahaha!
After everything was done, I turned my writing computer on so I could finish editing my future photography best seller. The computer said, "Starting Windows now...hahaha! Still making you jump! This is so fun!'
It never started up, and right now while I'm on this computer, the other computer is grinning at me. Since I'm of the male gender, I should genetically understand how to fix this problem. But I know what would happen, the same that happens when I repair vacuum cleaners.
At one time we owned an expensive vacuum cleaner. I don't know why as it didn't have a computer, but we all have made bad purchases from time to time. One day it went on strike, as all things expensive and with warranties expired the day before do, and my wife asked me to look at it. She had to ask me several times over a few days because I was scared of this vacuum cleaner. It had the same grin my other computer has right now. I finally looked at it in the same fashion four year old boys "look" at your uncle's expensive heirloom grandfather clock. Vacuum cleaner parts littered my living room floor. Nodding in a genetically inspired way, I knew it would be easy to fix since all the parts were identical.
I had the vacuum cleaner assembled in short order, and was quite impressed with how well I'd built a dust blower. Seriously, it blew out affectively for three seconds, and then chirped. That noise meant I had one final task to finish and we'd have a working vacuum cleaner again. You guessed it; I traded it in for another vacuum cleaner, which proved quite entertaining to the vacuum cleaner salespersons.
So I'm thinking I should open my writing computer and take a really good "look" at it. I'm guessing its parts are exactly like those in a vacuum cleaner. Once I have the computer rebuilt, call me whenever you need dust blowing done at your house. My rates are reasonable.
