I bought the Sharp Cordless Quick and Quiet Vacuum to use as a floor sweeper on my laminate wood floors.
Sharp Cordless Quick and Quiet Vacuum: Cost
I bought the Sharp Cordless Quick and Quiet Vacuum at my local Bed Bath ad beyond for $29. You can use a 20 percent off coupon, which will bring the cost down even more. Overall I thought the price was pretty good and well worth giving it a shot.
After the fact, I think the price was about right. It is a light weight sweeper that seems to be holding up, but not the most sturdy investment.
Sharp Cordless Quick and Quiet Vacuum: Set Up
To set up you have to screw the long handle together This is very simple and literally the ends of each pipe simply screw together, then into a black base on the Sharp multi floor sweeper.
Set up took about 5 minutes total. The lug cord plugs into the base of the vacuum.
One draw back is you have to wait 20 hours the first time to let the battery charge. So, you should not be able to plug in an go. There is no cord attached, it is cordless, so you do not have that option.
There are instructions included for keeping the battery in as good a shape as possible. They recommend allowing the battery to run out of juice before recharging, and I remounted follow their instructions so you do not have to buy a new one sooner than necessary.
The battery operates for 12 hours before it should run out of juice. It only takes me about 20 minutes to vacuum, so I do not know if this is true. I experienced no battery power loss in the 20 minutes.
Sharp Cordless Quick and Quiet Vacuum: Effectiveness
I use my Sharp Cordless Quick and Quiet Vacuum on laminate floors as well as 2 floor rugs. It works well on both surfaces. I only use it to sweep small objects and dust. The sweeping rollers look a little thin, but so far have picked up everything.
All the dirt goes into a compartment that simply slides out and can be dumped easily. You will need to do this after each use because the compartment is small.
Overall
Overall, I find the Sharp Cordless Quick and Quiet Vacuum to be a pretty good light floor sweeper. The whole contraction is rather light, so this probably can not replace a heavy vacuum. IF you live in a small home, under 1000 square feet, and have mostly wood or laminate floors, then this should be a great product for cleaning your floors.
